Assessment of the Proposal

Minerals and Waste Joint Plan Consultation.

This paper responds to the request for comments with specific reference to the Proposals put forward by Messrs Hughes Craven on behalf of Stubbs, Dennison, Barker and Raine for ‘Land between the A1, north of Leases Hall, Roughley Corner, Wensleydale Railway, Ham Hall Lane and Scruton Grange’.[See pages 296-7]

The plan is a well presented and comprehensive input into the NPPF setting out requirements for minerals up to 2030. In the context of the Proposal for Scruton, it is the requirement for sand & gravel which is of relevance.

This proposal should not go forward to the second stage.
